Latest Trip Advisor Review "A Class Apart - A Wonderful Place To Stay"
We booked theatre tickets in this lovely city and started looking for a B & B nearby. It must have been our lucky day as the first one we found was St John's House.
Everything about this place is first rate. This blows away every four & five star hotel we have ever stayed in.
The furnishing and bedding are luxurious to say the least. The quality is exceptional.
There are currently four individually themed rooms but more will follow. We stayed in the Terrace room which was lovely. We had a private terrace, loads of space and a bathroom to die for. It has underfloor heating, a huge bath, power shower and the biggest, fluffiest towels imaginable.
There is filter coffee and fresh mlk in the room.
As the room is in the converted stables there is no noise from outside and we both had a great night's sleep.
The breakfast was amazing. Homemade sausages, home cured bacon and all cooked to order. The choice was good for cooked and cold with homemade jams and granola available.
Even though everything was so luxurious and perfect we weren't in the least intimidated because Johann, the proprietor, is such a lovely down to earth guy. He has set out to achieve American standards and takes a real pride in his home, hotel and everything he does.
We can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back soon.
