Latest Trip Advisor Review "Regency Luxury"
Like the previous reviewer we had booked theatre tickets and having read their review booked St Johns House. We chose Tiggys (sic) - on the first floor of the old stable block - sloping ceilings and all. The room was as good if not better than many a 5* hotel I have stayed in. Plenty of space, a mini fridge with fresh milk and bottled water, a coffee machine with proper coffee and a kettle. More fresh towels than you could shake a stick at, a king double bed with a mattress where you did not feel the movements of your partner! and really comfortable. A pleasant sitting area with a large screen TV and DVD player. We had only booked the one night but it's the sort of room you could use for a week with no discomfort.
Now to the breakfast - freshly cooked from as much as possible local ingredients with the bacon and sausages cured and made by the owner Johann. A real tasty treat (including the Staffordshire oatcakes)
Johann proved a welcoming host for whom nothing was not too much trouble. It was lovely to get that personal touch.
